TriCounty Materials and Services is Hiring an Excavator Operator Near Gainesville, TX

TriCounty Materials and Services was developed in 2004 to serve the construction industry in the DFW metroplex. TriCounty has locations in Gainesville and Sanger.

We are currently searching for an experienced Excavator Operator to add to our Sanger Team, specifically to work in the crushed concrete division.

Excavator operators are to maintain and operate a large excavator safely and sufficiently and maintain a safe work area.

Candidate must be observant and able to receive and follow instruction from supervisors well.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficient operation of large scale Excavator.
  • Excavate and move material as instructed.
  • Load Crusher.
  • Carry a grade.
  • Load haul trucks.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for all present in immediate area.
  • Perform and document daily inspections of assigned equipment.
  • Keep assigned equipment clean and orderly.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Able to read equipment operating manual.
  • Able to complete pre and post shift inspection report.
  • Able to communicate in English on radio or CB.
  • Possess basic mathematical aptitude to complete daily reports.
  • Able to wear all required safety equipment.
  • Able to perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Able to read and interpret gauges.

Physical Requirements:

  • Have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls.
  • Have good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet.
  • Able to climb on and off of equipment to operate and service.
  • Able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around mobile equipment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to sit and operate equipment for long periods, up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust and noisy conditions.
  • Able to work at various heights.

Working Conditions:

  • Larger equipment is typically air conditioned.
  • There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet or dry.
  • May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.

Other Details

  • Pay will vary, based on experience.
  • Employee is eligible for benefits available after 60 day probationary period.
